I have been working with Kevin and Charlie Dumais since 2018 when I met them on an assignment for the New York Times, “The D.I.Y. Country House.“
Since then we have worked together to create product photography for their new website that showcases their handmade lamps, sconces, and accessories.
I photograph all the product images at their studio in Bantam, Connecticut. Together we build, style and prop the set — it’s essential that I use a consistent approach, lighting and angles every time we photograph a new lamp. The images need to be unique but also cohesive.
Most recently I photographed a series of their pieces at home in an apartment in Brooklyn. The concept for these images were much moodier to show the ambiance. We wanted them to look and feel as they would in your home so viewers can envision them in their own spaces.
