I met Pam Howard through a mutual friend 4-5 years ago but it wasn’t until recently that we got together to do a personal branding session. As the principal and creative director of of the boutique graphic design firm Firebrick Design, she is a designer, illustrator, and painter. With an impressive client list, Pam illustrates, designs and art directs books such as the iconic Alex and The Amazing Lemonade Stand, and even exhibition materials for galleries and for commercial clients.
What connects all the different types of work that Pam does is her ability to capture exquisite custom illustration and captivating communication projects. I wanted to emphasize the style that flows not only in her business with design but how that translates into her home space, so we decided to photograph in her beautiful home. Pam has so many lovely paintings and bold colors in her home that I knew would make perfect backdrops to highlight her bright personality and fun designs.
We had a great time coordinating her outfits with the different color schemes throughout her home while also having a nice time chatting. A huge part of my role as a photographer is to make clients feel their most comfortable selves. It was very inspirational to get to know Pam and learn how involved she is with the arts – this is when she became most relaxed, her passion was glowing.
Pam uses the photographs we created primarily on her social media, especially Linkedin. Have a look to learn even more about Pam!
