Case Study: ShopRite Food Photography
Assignment: collaborate with In Connected Marketing and photograph 6-10 recipes for use in ShopRite’s Culinary Workshop, an in-store cooking class and recipe card brochure.
Concept: The recipes would be developed by Wakefern Food Corporations Dietician and Culinary Nutrition Supervisor. Each recipe would need a hero image with room for copy, incase it was chosen for the cover. It needed to look good with and without the copy.
Production: My roles would include assembling the team of stylists and assistants, securing the production location, lighting and styling the photoshoots, as well as directing the food and prop styling.
Team: Art Director, Food Stylist, Prop Stylist, Assistant, Photographer
Post-Production: Images would be minimally processed, preserving detail, white balance, and tones.
Behind-the-Scenes: Favorite moments include the Art Director’s puppy on set, collaboration with an excellent team, and bringing a vision to life.
Clients Needs / Solution: Create eye-grabbing, mouth-watering photographs featuring health-conscious recipes — build an awesome team, communicate needs and vision effectively.
