Shop Small Business Saturday

It brings me great joy to give back to my clients and support them as they have supported me. There’s no better time of the year for us all to show love to our local communities than the holiday season. This year, consider joining me in the Small Business Saturday movement — I did the work for you and rounded up a list of amazing businesses to support, all you have to do is have fun shopping. Small Business Saturday is November 30th, but I think we should break the Black Friday cycle and support them year round!

Hope and Stetson — A woman’s boutique curated with “happy purchases.” They carry items that will warm your soul, and their weekly Simple Gesture giveaways will make you smile. A great place for clothing and a unique gifting market.

Hartford Prints — Handmade and homegrown goods. They make letterpress stationery, urban streetwear, and local love.

Dumais Made — Unique handmade ceramics including lamps, candlesticks, vases and more.

Local Wine Shops – Do you even need a reason to pop a bottle? My go-to’s are Center Wine & Spirits (Glastonbury) and The Wise Old Dog (West Hartford)

Henry’s Provisions — Henry’s Provisions invites you to “slow down with us.”  Join as a member of Henry Provisions and create delicious meals at home. Quarterly shipment of hardware, the dry goods, the recipes, the roadmap, the history, some special wine, and your fresh grocery list.  You carve out the time to indulge in a delicious evening.

Harney & Sons— Harney & Sons builds on a commitment to deliver customers the finest quality tea possible. This promise, made over 30 years ago, serves as the company’s guiding principle. Today, Harney & Sons tea remains family owned and managed, with three generations of Harneys preserving the tradition of fine tea and traveling the world in search of the best ingredients.

Blue Earth Compost — Go green and compost! Blue Earth Compost offers home, business, and event composting services for the Greater Hartford area and Connecticut.

Things aren’t your thing? Donate to a great cause!

OPP — A nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Greater Hartford and Eastern Connecticut youth with the key competencies needed to overcome barriers and succeed in education and employment.

YWCA — A nonprofit providing life-changing programs to children and teens helping them gain confidence, opportunity, and independence.

GreenWave — GreenWave is supporting a new generation of ocean farmers feeding the planet and building a blue-green economy in the era of climate change.
